產婦若能坐好月子，不但能獲得良好休息，也能讓身體補充營養，盡快恢復體力；因此，產後調理特別重要。大林慈濟醫院中醫部醫師阮膺旭指出，主要是因產婦在分娩時，出血量多，加上腰痠腹痛等症狀，使體力耗損，有些產婦甚至因此氣血虛弱，這時就必須透過坐月子時期，幫助身體恢復原來狀態。

傳統觀念上，坐月子必須透過各種補品，讓產婦能夠補充體力，但因現代人忙碌，多沒有太多時間耗在燉煮熬湯藥上；阮膺旭說，其實現在已有合格的中藥廠，經過檢驗中藥材的安全性，且剔除含有重金屬的藥材，熬煮後提煉出的濃縮藥湯製成的科學中藥，讓現代人不管在服用或是攜帶上都非常方便。

醫師阮膺旭進一步說明，濃縮中藥和傳統煎劑相似，不同的是在製造過程，煎煮後必須再給予賦型劑後，才成為成品，一般民眾在各中醫院服用的中藥粉，都屬於此類，尤其產婦在產後一週內，屬於陰血不足、陽氣偏旺的體質，若未多加注意，就恐因吃得過於油膩，傷害脾胃，這時就會因無法吸收營養，影響體質恢復。

坐月子除了能透過濃縮中藥的協助，也應隨時保持愉快心情，養成清淡營養的飲食方式，就能有效改善虛寒體質；阮膺旭呼籲，若是屬於打過麻藥的產婦，則建議飲食上應避免白菜、竹筍等冷性食物，可依照不同體質，採以溫養或清養的食年菜2017 餐廳除夕2017物調理較佳。
